HOUSING

Vienna has a long tradition in social housing. The apartment buildings of "Red Vienna", realized in the interwar period, were milestones in the development of humane mass housing. Despite the change of conditions, even today cooperatives, developers and joint building ventures realize remarkable housing projects. The focus has shifted, but the challenge remains: affordable housing for all.
